About the Role
We are Turner Services Inc., a leading media and entertainment company, and we are seeking a highly skilled Senior Producer to join our team. As a Senior Producer, you will be responsible for leading the video programming strategy on our core platforms, including desktop, mobile web, apps, and social media platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead daily programming shifts, collaborating with the global programming team to develop tactics that elevate video content and guide junior team members in assignments.
- Program both core platforms and off-platform accounts, monitoring content performance and using real-time data to adjust tactics that deliver on business goals.
- Manage direct reports, providing coaching to further team members' career development.
- Collaborate with video leadership to develop long-term video growth strategies and build cross-functional relationships.
- Pitch, develop, and execute programming tactics and ideas independently.
- Communicate programming insights to key stakeholders.
- Communicate network and video programming priorities with team.
- Lead conversations with the team that encourage innovation and growth.
Qualifications and Experience
- Four-year college degree. Journalism degree preferred.
- Seven or more years producing/writing/editing in a major news market.
- One to two years experience managing others.
- Working knowledge of Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro, or similar editing system.
- Ability to analyze data and share insights to inform editorial decision-making.
- Excellent communication skills, news judgment, and headline-writing skills.
- Ability to lead during breaking news situations.
- Ability to independently make editorial decisions while programming core platforms.
- Conveys spirit of teamwork, positive attitude (eager, energetic, team-oriented).
- Flexibility (can deal with rapid changes in news, adapt to breaking news, and handle several tasks at once).
- Must be able to adapt to a 24/7 news environment.
- Must be able to work shifts at all times of day and night.
