CNN is seeking a Senior Producer to lead the video programming strategy on our core platforms, including desktop, mobile web, apps, and social media. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and executing video content that engages our audience and drives business growth.
Key Responsibilities- Lead daily programming shifts and collaborate with the global programming team to develop tactics that elevate video content to audiences.
- Program both core platforms and off-platform accounts, monitoring content performance and using real-time data to adjust tactics that deliver on business goals.
- Manage direct reports and provide coaching to further team members' career development.
- Collaborate with video leadership to develop long-term video growth strategies and build cross-functional relationships.
- Pitch, develop, and execute programming tactics and ideas independently.
- Communicate programming insights to key stakeholders and network and video programming priorities with the team.
- Four-year college degree, preferably in journalism.
- Seven+ years of producing, writing, and editing experience in a major news market.
- One to two years of experience managing others.
- Working knowledge of Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro, or similar editing systems.
- Ability to analyze data and share insights to inform editorial decision-making.
- Excellent communication skills, news judgment, and headline-writing skills.
- Ability to lead during breaking news situations and independently make editorial decisions while programming core platforms.
