Summary:
The Nursing Staff Scheduler is responsible for organizing nursing personnel schedules to comply with facility, state, and federal regulations.
Qualifications:
Education:
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Minimum of one year experience in long-term care; C.N.A. experience preferred.
- Creates and posts work schedules at least two weeks in advance.
- Contacts replacement staff and adjusts schedules as necessary.
- Maintains an updated list of employee contact information for call-ins.
- Coordinates time-off requests with the Director of Nursing.
- Informs the Director of Nursing regarding staffing shortages.
- Keeps records of employees who miss shifts and generates reports.
- Works with the Director of Nursing to secure contract labor when needed.
- Performs additional tasks as assigned.
- Ability to communicate effectively with residents, their families, and all organizational levels.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and clarity.
- Strong organizational and prioritization skills to meet deadlines.
- Proficient in operating a Personal Computer.
- Understanding of overtime regulations.
