We are seeking a highly skilled Instructional Designer/Distance Learning Coordinator to join our team at Montana Tech. As a key member of our instructional design team, you will be responsible for designing and developing high-quality online courses, as well as providing support and training to faculty members.
Key Responsibilities- Design and develop online courses that meet the highest standards of quality and accessibility.
- Collaborate with faculty members to ensure that online courses are aligned with the university's strategic goals and objectives.
- Provide training and support to faculty members on the use of learning technologies, including Proctorio, Panopto, and Zoom.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in education and provide recommendations for their implementation.
- Contribute to the development of the university's online learning strategy and provide input on the design and delivery of online courses.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
- Experience in online course design and development, preferably in higher education.
- Familiarity with learning management systems and learning technologies.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with faculty, staff, and administrators.
- Master's degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, or a related field.
- Experience in higher education, preferably in a similar role.
- Familiarity with Moodle and Canvas learning management systems.
- Knowledge of quality assurance standards and best practices in online course design.
