Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough psychosocial assessments and communicate effectively with alternate sites of care and community agencies.
  • Maintain knowledge of federal and state regulations, ensuring compliance and best practices.
  • Provide consultation and resources to the healthcare team, participating in department or hospital committees as needed.
  • Conduct group therapy sessions, perform utilization reviews, and provide discharge planning for inpatient psychiatric patients.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in social work.
  • Experience in individual, family assessment, crisis intervention, grief and loss counseling, and discharge planning preferred.
  • Michigan Social Work License; LMSW expected within 5 years of employment.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of growth and development, excellent oral and written communication skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Word.
