The successful candidate will have a background as a Loan Officer Assistant, Mortgage Banker Assistant, or Mortgage Loan Processor, with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in the mortgage industry. Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the primary liaison for the Mortgage Banker, coordinating communication between clients, internal support teams, real estate agents, and title companies.
- Manage the Mortgage Banker’s pipeline, collaborating with Processing, Underwriting, and Closing teams to ensure timely loan closures.
- Prepare and facilitate the signing of mortgage applications and necessary disclosures.
- Utilize the Encompass loan origination system to structure loans effectively.
- Review loan guidelines and assess borrower qualifications thoroughly.
- Deliver outstanding customer service to clients and referral sources, consistently exceeding expectations.
- Engage in marketing initiatives to optimize the Mortgage Banker’s CRM and leverage past client relationships.
- Participate in all National Sales Meetings and support Mortgage Banker(s) at various functions, including open houses and seminars.
- Assist in organizing events such as realtor luncheons and borrower meet-and-greets.
Qualifications:
- Commitment to working in-office five days a week; this is not a remote position.
- A minimum of a 2-year college degree or equivalent experience in the mortgage sector.
- At least 2 years of experience in Mortgage Processing or as a Loan Officer Assistant.
- Proven experience in reviewing income, assets, and credit histories.
- Familiarity with Encompass Loan Origination Software is highly preferred.
- Experience with DU/LP is strongly preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential.
- Dependable, self-motivated, and able to work with minimal supervision.
- A customer-service-oriented mindset with a friendly and engaging personality.
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment and shifting priorities.
- Must possess a favorable background and credit standing.
