Position Overview
The SAP Business Systems Analyst will play a crucial role in enhancing and implementing new functionalities within MAT's SAP system, based on a comprehensive understanding of business objectives. Utilizing analytical tools, industry best practices, and ongoing research into new technologies and processes, the Analyst will design systems and processes aimed at improving productivity, streamlining operations, and addressing challenges identified by the business.

Key Responsibilities

SAP Functional Responsibilities

  • Evaluate business processes and identify system-based solutions, engaging with users and management to build consensus on implementations.
  • Collaborate with business leaders and key stakeholders to continuously refine business practices.
  • Prepare and execute test scripts for changes and upgrades to business processes.
  • Create and maintain Design Documents, Training Documents, Business Process Documents, Flowcharts, and Strategic Decision Documents.
  • Develop technical specifications for system enhancements and manage subsequent SAP configuration, testing, and documentation.
  • Identify opportunities for business process improvement with a focus on maximizing system utilization to enhance bottom-line results.
  • Engage regularly with users to ensure comprehensive understanding and utilization of system capabilities.
  • Assist in the technical preparation of Business Process Procedures, Test Scenarios, End-user documentation, and User manuals.
  • Troubleshoot user issues and implement effective solutions.
  • Continuously acquire new systems knowledge through research and formal training.

Technical Responsibilities

  • Possess knowledge of SAP configuration, including the ability to establish new company processes from the ground up and troubleshoot existing configurations.
  • Analyze OSS Notes to determine their applicability.
  • Understand SAP localization and processes to meet local requirements.
  • Utilize ECATT, LSMW, Winshuttle, or other data loading processes effectively.
  • Leverage user exits and enhancements within SAP to accommodate unique business needs.
  • Conduct limited debugging of the system, analyze ABAP short dumps, and resolve underlying issues; familiarity with programming languages is advantageous.
  • Support BI Analysts with functional reporting requirements, including writing specifications, testing, and end-user training.
  • Utilize OSS and SDN for problem resolution and to discover innovative system applications.
  • Regularly review new performance improvement documentation released by SAP to identify suitable implementations.
  • Manage transport in the R/3 landscape and assist with R/3 security and authorization implementation.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in project management.
  • Strong business acumen, particularly in logistics, warehouse/distribution, and transportation sectors.
  • Excellent analytical, statistical, and problem-solving skills; ability to draft routine reports and correspondence.
  • Sound judgment and decision-making capabilities; strong work ethic.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel and Outlook.
  • Strong interpersonal and customer relations skills; effective verbal and written communication; ability to develop and implement strategic plans.
  • Ability to propose and recommend cost-effective, creative solutions.
  • Commitment to customer satisfaction and quality.
  • Flexibility to work varied schedules, including evenings and weekends; willingness to travel for implementations.
  • Adaptability and readiness to work within a dynamic environment.
  • Bachelor's degree required.
