Job Summary

The Banquet Server will provide exceptional service to guests in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. This role requires a high level of social interaction, flexibility, and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Read and understand Banquet Event Orders to ensure accurate service.
  • Carry and serve food and beverages to guests with a high level of professionalism.
  • Initiate and maintain friendly and professional contact with guests to anticipate and meet their needs.
  • Setup and maintain food and beverage stations in various locations throughout the building.
  • Maintain inventory and ensure accurate counts of food and beverages.
  • Participate in setup and cleanup of food and beverage service items.
  • Work independently during slower times and as part of a team during peak periods.
  • Perform safe work by maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
  • Have a high level of social contact and ability to work closely with staff and deal with patrons.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and select holidays.
  • Must be detail-oriented and able to multitask.
  • Ability to handle and move objects, including lifting, pushing, and pulling heavy objects.
  • Must have a customer-focused, positive, and professional attitude.
  • Ability to read and communicate effectively in the English language.
  • Knowledge of basic arithmetic and ability to perform calculations.
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent GED preferred.
  • Minimum of one year of work experience in events, banquets, or restaurants preferred.
  • Must be at least eighteen years of age to serve alcoholic drinks.
