We are seeking a highly skilled Design Architect I to join our team at Progressive AE. As a key member of our architectural design team, you will be responsible for generating and translating design concepts into final solutions for automotive dealerships.
Key Responsibilities- Lead clients through all phases of the design process, providing support from senior staff and understanding the overall strategy for producing documents and identifying the content of deliverables at each stage of the work.
- Support senior design staff and other team members in all phases of the design process, including predesign, schematic design, design development, construction documentation, bidding, and construction administration.
- Develop designs, graphic presentations, and 3D renderings to communicate design concepts, utilizing and encouraging best use of design software/technology for presentation and production purposes.
- Assist in coordination of building systems with consultants, confirmation of conformance with all applicable codes, and interfacing with municipal building departments and other governing agency officials to provide approvals.
- Accompany and assist others in conducting field observations to monitor the progress of construction.
- Bachelor's Degree in Architecture or equivalent in education and experience required for professional licensure.
- 3 or more years of post-graduate architectural design experience.
- Strong knowledge of SketchUp, Revit, Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe InDesign.
- Strong rendering skills.
- Experience in producing design deliverables, demonstrated through a strong portfolio of finished work.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Master's Degree in Architecture.
- Licensed architect with current license.
- NCARB registration and AIA membership.
- CSI-CDT certification.
- LEED APBD+C and WELL AP certification.
- 5 or more years of experience.
- Experience designing automotive dealerships.
- Enscape experience.
