About This Opportunity

Dartmouth College is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Custodian to join our team. As a key member of our facilities management department, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and overall appearance of our campus facilities.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a wide range of custodial duties, including cleaning and disinfecting surfaces, emptying trash and recyclables, and restocking supplies. You will also be required to set up and break down events, and perform other tasks as assigned by your supervisor.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform daily custodial tasks, including sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors, and dusting and polishing surfaces
  • Empty trash and recyclables, and restock supplies as needed
  • Set up and break down events, including tables, chairs, and other equipment
  • Perform minor repairs and maintenance tasks as assigned by your supervisor
Requirements
  • 1-2 years of experience in custodial work or a related field
  • Able to lift and move heavy objects, and work at heights using ladders and step-stools
  • Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions
  • Must be willing to work mandatory overtime when required
Preferred Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Certification in hazardous materials handling or similar training
