Job Summary

EMCOR Group is seeking a skilled HVAC/R Technician to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing preventive and corrective maintenance on heating and cooling equipment, diagnosing and repairing HVAC/R systems, and ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on HVAC/R equipment, including installation and startup of new systems.
  • Diagnose and repair complex HVAC/R system issues, including electrical and mechanical components.
  • Conduct regular inspections to identify potential issues and prevent equipment failures.
  • Work with electrical components, including disconnects and wiring.
  • Document hours worked, tasking performed, and materials used.
  • Follow established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and create or revise SOPs as needed.
Requirements
  • Experience in HVAC/R mechanic work, including installation and maintenance of heating and air conditioning equipment.
  • Ability to diagnose, maintain, adjust, repair, and replace HVAC systems and components.
  • Possess prior computer experience and be able and willing to learn and effectively utilize computer-based technology.
  • Proficient in electrical safety procedures and risk assessment.
  • Competent in analyzing situations and making technical and safety decisions based on specifications and applicable codes and manufacturer guidelines.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Current HVAC/R license, (EPA) and KY Journeyman.
  • Experience in commercial and/or industrial facilities.
