Pediatric Medical Surgical Travel Nurse

Tact Staff is currently seeking a dedicated travel nurse RN specializing in Pediatric Medical Surgical for an exciting opportunity.

The travel nurse will utilize the nursing process to deliver direct patient care. This role entails being responsible and accountable for prescribing, delegating, and coordinating all care provided to assigned patients. Care delivery is based on established standards and practices set forth by the nursing department and relevant policies.
Key Duties- Assess the immediate and ongoing care needs of patients and their significant others.
- Develop comprehensive care plans that address physical, educational, and psychosocial needs.
- Provide direct patient care according to assessed needs and medical directives.
- Supervise the care provided by other nursing personnel as per their scope of practice.
- Document and communicate patient responses to illness and treatment effectively.
- Coordinate the overall care plan to ensure nursing interventions align with medical directives.
- Participate in quality improvement activities related to patient care delivery.
- Engage in effective communication and manage stressful situations while fostering relationships with multidisciplinary teams.
- Assist in the orientation of new nursing staff.
- Take charge responsibilities as delegated by management.
- Ensure appropriate patient coverage by collaborating with colleagues.
- Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for patients and staff.
- Serve as a clinical resource for nursing students.
- Participate in educational programs and professional development activities.
No prior experience is required, although some is preferred. Candidates should possess good interpersonal skills and the ability to utilize electronic record systems relevant to this position.
