As the Lead Infrastructure Architect, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the long-term vision for Williams-Sonoma's infrastructure, encompassing servers, containers, storage solutions, networking, and other essential services that underpin our global corporate and retail operations.
Your collaboration with fellow engineers will be crucial in delivering performance metrics and service standards that align with our internal clients' needs. Through your technical expertise, you will establish capacity planning models that illustrate effective and efficient architectural solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
- Develop a comprehensive Reference Architecture Library for Servers, Containers, Networks, and Storage.
- Create and enforce group policies, standards, and operational procedures.
- Implement a robust capacity planning program for Infrastructure systems.
- Mentor and train other members of the Infrastructure team.
- Assist with tier 4 engineering escalations.
- Gather, analyze, and drive project requirements while designing and implementing multi-layer infrastructure architecture components.
- Collaborate with a diverse group of subject matter experts to execute your strategic vision.
- Engage hands-on with teams to facilitate project completion.
- Publish Build-To documentation and review As-Built documentation for network, server, and storage designs.
- Provide insightful data to support decision-making and propose proactive solutions.

Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you should possess:
- A Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Over 10 years of experience in Server and Storage, including Data Center, Cloud Engineering, Monitoring, Infrastructure & Configuration Management, and scripting.
- Expertise in diagnosing and resolving complex technical issues.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to present confidently.
- Proficiency in business applications such as MS Windows and MS Office (Excel, Access, Visio, Word).
- A solid understanding of project management principles.
The anticipated salary range for this position is $180,000 to $210,000, with actual compensation based on experience and other job-related factors.
