Constellation is seeking a dedicated Staffing Coordinator to enhance our operations team in Miami, FL. This pivotal role is essential for managing our hourly service personnel and ensuring optimal scheduling across various business units in the region.

Key Responsibilities:

Recruitment & Onboarding:

  • Assist in organizing hiring events at the start of the season.
  • Engage with local universities and relevant business organizations to identify recruitment opportunities.

Scheduling:

  • Process and fulfill staffing requests through our scheduling platform daily.
  • Confirm event personnel through calls and emails, ensuring timely communication.
  • Proactively fill roles for Event Supervisors, Co-Captains, Supervisors, and Front of House staff as events are confirmed.
  • Identify and communicate priority dates well in advance.
  • Disseminate event details to scheduled staff as they become available.
  • Send daily reminders to event staff.
  • Assist in coordinating transportation logistics for staff.
  • Maintain effective relationships with staffing partners to communicate staffing needs.

Operational Support:

  • Provide management support during major events, stepping in as a supervisor or captain when necessary.
  • Attend a minimum of two events weekly to oversee staff check-ins and enforce uniform standards.
  • Participate in weekly BEO meetings to align on staffing needs.
  • Collaborate with event managers to ensure appropriate staffing levels for events.
  • Prepare comprehensive event binders containing essential documentation.
  • Adjust staff schedules to align with budgetary constraints.
  • Manage special events at the unit level, including major client functions and pop-up events.
  • Establish and oversee a facility maintenance schedule to ensure cleanliness and upkeep.
  • Attend client meetings as required.
  • Perform various administrative tasks and additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Availability to work weekends as needed.
  • Preferred experience in the catering sector.
  • Understanding of fine dining service standards.
  • Strong problem-solving capabilities.
  • Proactive and results-driven mindset.
  • Excellent collaboration skills.
  • Outstanding communication abilities.
  • Ability to effectively engage and connect with team members.
