Job Title: Senior Distinguished Engineer

Capital One is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Distinguished Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering organization, you will play a critical role in driving innovation and delivering cutting-edge technology solutions.

About the Role:

We are looking for a seasoned engineer with a strong background in software engineering and solution architecture. You will be responsible for building awareness, increasing knowledge, and driving adoption of modern technologies across the organization. Your expertise will help shape use cases and implementation in a unified manner, and you will operate as a trusted advisor for a specific technology, platform, or capability domain.

Responsibilities:
  • Build awareness and drive adoption of modern technologies across the organization
  • Shape use cases and implementation in a unified manner
  • Operate as a trusted advisor for a specific technology, platform, or capability domain
  • Lead the way in creating next-generation talent for Tech, mentoring internal talent and actively recruiting external talent to bolster Capital One's Tech talent
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • At least 9 years of experience in software engineering or solution architecture
  • At least 5 years' experience with public cloud technologies
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Masters' Degree
  • 12+ years of experience in software engineering or solution architecture
  • 7+ years' experience designing and building enterprise platform solutions
  • 5+ years' experience with Amazon Web Services
  • 3+ years of experience defining software design, architecture, and engineering practices
  • 1+ year of experience with developing strategy and implementing target architectures
  • 2+ years of experience in the Financial Services industry, preferably in Payment Networks
  • AWS Certifications
