About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Dining Room Manager to join our team at Glenview at Pelican Bay. As a key member of our hospitality team, you will be responsible for creating a warm and welcoming fine dining experience for our residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee all Dining Room and Lounge services, ensuring exceptional quality and service standards.
  • Interview, hire, train, and schedule all Dining Room personnel, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
  • Address resident concerns regarding Dining Room services, working closely with the Food and Beverage Director and Back of House team to resolve issues.
  • Ensure residents are seated and served promptly, accommodating special dietary needs and preferences.
  • Maintain a visible presence in the Dining Room, ensuring proper service and catering to residents' needs.
  • Manage resident catering needs, dinner reservations, and private dining room bookings.
  • Oversee the opening and closing of the Dining Room and Lounge, conducting daily lineup meetings with staff.
  • Handle all hiring paperwork, evaluations, terminations, performance reviews, and compensation reviews for Dining Room staff.
  • Provide training and development opportunities for Dining Room and Lounge personnel.
  • Implement disciplinary and termination procedures in compliance with Employee Services policies.
  • Conduct monthly liquor inventory for Accounting purposes.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; previous restaurant experience and management experience in the food and beverage industry preferred.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with residents, staff, and vendors.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities.
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices, with the ability to maintain a clean and safe Dining Room environment.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
