Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the setup and completion of all scheduled functions, ensuring timely and efficient execution
  • Manage the upkeep of convention, meeting, and banquet facilities and equipment, maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organization
  • Collaborate with the Banquets Director to develop and implement effective event strategies and procedures
  • Supervise and train a team of banquet staff, providing guidance and support to ensure excellent customer service and event execution
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients and vendors, ensuring seamless event planning and execution
  • Monitor and control event budgets, ensuring profitability and efficiency
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices, applying knowledge to improve event services and operations

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of experience in banquet and/or setup operations in a supervisor capacity
  • Proven track record of successful event execution and customer satisfaction
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, vendors, and team members
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with minimal supervision
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound decisions
  • Knowledge of event planning software and technology, with the ability to learn and adapt to new systems

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in a resort/hotel/conference center with at least 70k square feet of meeting and event space
  • Bilingual skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members in multiple languages
