Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Production Operator I to join our team at IDEAL INDUSTRIES, INC. in Sycamore, Illinois. As a Production Operator I, you will be responsible for performing routine production tasks under the close direction of the Supervisor and/or lead person.

Key Responsibilities
  • Follow all safety procedures and maintain a safe working environment.
  • Perform routine production tasks, including forming, assembling, and packaging of products, as well as set-up and operation of various work stations.
  • Use various tools and equipment, including hand tools, soldering equipment, assembly and test equipment, and hand trucks, as required.
  • Monitor work visually and dimensionally, referring to blueprints, engineering specifications, and job instruction sheets, to maintain quality and rate charts.
  • Follow all quality procedures and instructions to ensure high-quality products.
  • Maintain housekeeping in the work area and perform other related duties as directed by management.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Ability to follow directions, both verbal and written, including simple assembly instructions and diagrams.
  • Visual acuity and hand dexterity to package and assemble a variety of materials.
  • Ability to perform routine computer data entry and queries.
  • Able to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Physical ability to frequently lift, push, and pull up to 10 lbs. for 9-10 hours per day, and occasionally lift up to 40 lbs.
Work Environment

Work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with hot/cold temperatures, humidity, noise, odors, and dust. Safety precautions are a must to minimize potential exposure to mechanical hazards.
