Chipton-Ross is currently seeking 4 Mechanical Assembly Technicians for a contract opportunity. This role is entirely ONSITE.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform routine assembly tasks on mechanical and structural components, sub-assemblies, and aircraft systems using manual techniques.
Contribute to the enhancement of products and processes by engaging in the design, fabrication, and testing of innovative concepts and technologies.
Travel to various facilities may be necessary.
Required Qualifications:
- Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications.
- A minimum of 1 year of experience in understanding engineering schematics.
- At least 1 year of experience using precision measuring instruments.
- 1+ years of experience in the fabrication or assembly of mechanical or electrical systems adhering to industry standards.
- Experience with machine shop processes for a minimum of 1 year.
Desired Qualifications:
Familiarity with assembly and production methodologies, including data necessary for defining delivery configurations.
Ability to distinguish between manufacturing processes and in-service requirements.
Participate in the assessment and qualification of materials, suppliers, and technologies to ensure compliance with production standards.
Demonstrate commitment to teamwork and collective objectives.
Understanding of effective teamwork dynamics to enhance performance.
Knowledge of metal properties and other common materials.
Comprehensive understanding of shop processes, including FOD prevention, material handling, safety protocols, calibration, and ESD measures.
Important Notes:
Successful completion of training is required for this position.
Education Requirements:
Typically requires a high school diploma or GED, along with 1 or more years of relevant work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience from an accredited institution.
Work Schedule:
This is a full-time position on the first shift, with working hours from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, including potential overtime.
