About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Food Safety and Quality Assurance Technician to join our team at Sysco. As a key member of our quality assurance team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality in our meat and seafood products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and evaluate food safety and quality assurance programs to ensure compliance with corporate and regulatory requirements.
  • Assist in employee training on food safety and quality assurance policies and procedures.
  • Support the implementation of independent food safety and quality assurance audits.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution of quality assurance initiatives.
Requirements
  • 1-3 years of experience in the meat and/or seafood industry, preferably in a federal CFIA/FDA regulated environment.
  • Formal training in TQM principles, SPC, HACCP concepts, and CFIA/FDA regulations is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers.
