Job Summary:

Shiny Paws Dog Wash & Grooming is seeking a skilled Pet Stylist to join our team. As a Pet Stylist, you will be responsible for providing top-notch grooming services to our furry clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Washing and Drying:
    • Shampoo and condition pets' coats, followed by a thorough drying process to leave their fur looking healthy and shiny.
  • Trimming and Styling:
    • Use clippers or scissors to trim and style pets' fur to meet breed-specific standards or owner requests.
  • Detangling and Mat Removal:
    • Carefully detangle longer coats and remove matted hair to prevent discomfort and skin irritation.
  • Additional Tasks:
    • Trim nails, clean ears and eyes, brush teeth, express anal glands, and treat for fleas and ticks as needed.

Requirements:

  • At least 2 years of experience in pet grooming.
  • A genuine passion for animals and a commitment to providing exceptional care.
  • The ability to work comfortably with animals, including those with anxiety or fear issues.
  • The ability to stand for extended periods and lift animals weighing over 50 pounds.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills and attention to detail.
  • The ability to work in high-pressure situations and as part of a team.
