Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Business Intelligence Developer to join our team. As a key member of our Finance department, you will be responsible for developing, testing, and maintaining reports and dashboards to optimize reporting, analytics, and business processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Business Intelligence Development: Partner with stakeholders to gather business requirements and develop report and dashboard specifications. Create or enhance reports and dashboards, ensuring timely deployment to production and secure sharing.
  • Data Framework and Metadata Development: Collaborate with the Finance Systems team to architect a data framework and maintain metadata, including data definitions, data models, and data flow diagrams.
  • Tool Innovation and Continuous Improvement: Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and emerging trends in reporting and analytics, identifying opportunities for cutting-edge technologies and process improvements.
  • Data Management: Oversee the collection, storage, and maintenance of high-quality data assets, ensuring data integrity, security, and compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Quality Assurance and Testing: Conduct thorough quality assurance checks on reports to ensure accuracy, consistency, and adherence to established standards.
  • System Upgrade Support: Evaluate system impact and perform testing in collaboration with stakeholders, Information Systems, and third parties for supported application upgrades.
  • System Maintenance Support: Lead the investigation and resolution of reporting issues encountered by users, logging support incidents and coordinating timely problem resolution.
  • Project Management: Lead and oversee Finance's data projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely and quality delivery.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop other reporting analysts, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a business, accounting, or computer science-related major.
  • Experience: At least ten years of experience with ERP reporting and related applications or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Skills: Extensive knowledge of reporting applications, data warehousing, data modeling, and ETL techniques. Advanced knowledge of SQL and ability to author complex SQL statements.
  • Abilities: Exceptional organization skills, detail orientation, and ability to follow projects and issues through to completion.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience: Experience with other reporting tools such as Cognos and experience with the AWS data lake development environment (Athena).
  • Skills: Knowledge of Microsoft Office (including Access and Visio) and Google Workspace.
  • Abilities: Knowledge of project management methodology and practices.

Accountabilities:

  • Supervision: Provides direct supervision to certain Finance Systems staff, including report developers.
