Job Summary

The Registered Nurse will utilize the nursing process in the care of designated residents, administer medications and treatments, and document appropriately on assigned nursing units. The ideal candidate will have a spirit of cooperation and enthusiasm to create an atmosphere conducive to rehabilitation and growth.

Responsibilities

  • Administer medications and treatments to residents
  • Document resident care and observations
  • Report findings to Charge Nurse, Nursing Supervisor, and/or Unit Manager
  • Prepare resident assignments and monitor the flow of activity and delivery of patient care

Requirements

  • Graduate of an approved school of nursing
  • Knowledge of medical, social, and psychological needs of residents
  • Ability to communicate well verbally with residents, families, and staff
