We are seeking a skilled HVAC Technician to join our team at InsideHigherEd. As a key member of our facilities maintenance team, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of building heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems and controls.
Key Responsibilities- Perform skilled work in the installation, maintenance, and repair of building HVAC systems and controls.
- Confer with supervisors regarding all aspects of assigned duties and communicate with campus partners.
- Access information utilizing computers and mobile technology.
- Promote a workplace culture that encourages safety within the shop and in the field.
- Operate a company vehicle to transport materials, tools, and equipment.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Vermont Natural Gas Installer Certification or ability to acquire within six months.
- Three years' experience in HVAC equipment and controls installation, maintenance, and repair.
- Refrigerant Recovery Certification.
- Valid driver's license or ability to obtain.
This is a non-exempt position that requires occasional evening and/or weekend work. A probationary period may be required for current employees. A post-offer pre-employment physical examination is required.
