Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled HVAC Technician to join our team at InsideHigherEd. As a key member of our facilities maintenance team, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of building heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems and controls.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform skilled work in the installation, maintenance, and repair of building HVAC systems and controls.
  • Confer with supervisors regarding all aspects of assigned duties and communicate with campus partners.
  • Access information utilizing computers and mobile technology.
  • Promote a workplace culture that encourages safety within the shop and in the field.
  • Operate a company vehicle to transport materials, tools, and equipment.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Vermont Natural Gas Installer Certification or ability to acquire within six months.
  • Three years' experience in HVAC equipment and controls installation, maintenance, and repair.
  • Refrigerant Recovery Certification.
  • Valid driver's license or ability to obtain.
Working Conditions

This is a non-exempt position that requires occasional evening and/or weekend work. A probationary period may be required for current employees. A post-offer pre-employment physical examination is required.
