Position: 3rd Shift Floating Youth Treatment Specialist (Part-Time)
Role Summary
As a vital member of our residential care team, you will engage with youth aged 10-18, implementing personalized treatment strategies designed to address their unique needs. Your primary responsibility will be to maintain a secure and nurturing environment, ensuring that each child feels safe and supported.
Compensation and Team Environment
We offer competitive hourly wages ranging from $18 to $22, complemented by a comprehensive benefits package. You will collaborate with a dedicated and passionate team focused on empowering youth and fostering a brighter future.
Realities of the Role
This position can be challenging. The youth in our care often come from backgrounds of trauma, including abuse and neglect, and may face mental health issues or involvement with the juvenile justice system. Building trust with these individuals is crucial, as they may initially respond with skepticism or anger.
Your Commitment
Hours: Every other weekend from 11 PM to 7 AM.
Qualifications:
- Must be at least 20 years old.
- High school diploma is required.
- A valid driver's license is necessary.
- Preferred qualifications include additional education or certification in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a related field.
- Experience working with at-risk youth is preferred.
- Physical ability to perform tasks such as bending, twisting, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Willingness to accept third shift hours with prior notice.
- Agreement with the mission and values of Wedgwood Christian Services.
