Job Summary and Qualifications

As a Registered Nurse (RN) in our Float Pool, you will navigate throughout the facility to various units within your scope of practice, including: ICU's, Telemetry Units, Medical/Surgical Units, and Behavioral Health.

While delivering clinical and administrative support on the unit, you will collaborate closely with the clinical team to develop and implement a care plan tailored to each patient's needs.

You will also coordinate unit activities and ensure accountability for all assigned tasks. Your primary responsibility in this role is to instruct and educate patients and their family members.

As a member of the Float Pool, you will administer all prescribed medications adhering to the 5 rights of medication administration, change dressings, clean wounds, and monitor vital signs.

Our nursing team diligently monitors, records, and communicates patient conditions as appropriate using computerized documentation systems.

You will act as the primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care, including addressing patients' discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.


What qualifications you will need:
Graduate of an accredited nursing school.
Bachelor's Degree preferred.
Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia or possesses a Compact license.
Minimum of three years of acute care experience with demonstrated competency in multiple specialty areas.
Basic Life Support (BLS).
