Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Chemical Dependency Counselor to join our team at True North Recovery Inc. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care to individuals struggling with addiction and mental health issues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive clinical interviews and assessments to identify client needs and develop effective treatment plans.
  • Provide evidence-based interventions and therapies to support clients in their recovery journey.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care coordination and optimal outcomes.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with community agencies and providers to facilitate referrals and resource allocation.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices through ongoing education and training.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in a related field (e.g., counseling, social work, psychology).
  • Current licensure or certification in a relevant field (e.g., LPC, LMFT, LSW).
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in substance abuse or mental health treatment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with diverse populations (e.g., adolescents, adults, seniors).
  • Knowledge of evidence-based treatments (e.g., CBT, DBT, Motivational Interviewing).
  • Fluency in a second language (e.g., Spanish, Mandarin).
