Job Summary

The Workforce Development Specialist will play a critical role in assisting individuals recovering from substance use disorder to achieve employment and stability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide outreach and education to the community about substance use disorder and the benefits of the program.
  • Conduct assessments and develop case plans for participants, ensuring they receive necessary support and resources.
  • Establish partnerships with local service providers and agencies to ensure participants receive comprehensive care.
  • Coordinate with VOA programs and other service providers to provide recovery-related support and services.
  • Monitor participant progress and make adjustments to case plans as needed.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in social work or related field, or at least five years of experience in the field and no degree.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with diverse populations.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities.
