Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor hospital environments for potential infection risks and implement control measures to prevent outbreaks.
  • Identify and initiate isolation protocols for patients with reportable diseases and notify state and county organizations as required.
  • Collaborate with the infection control committee to develop and maintain policies and procedures for infection control.
  • Provide education and training to healthcare staff on infection control best practices.
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with infection control policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Associate's degree in Nursing and current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Florida.
  • 1-3 years of nursing experience, with a preference for previous experience in infection control.
  • Familiarity with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the field of infection control.
