Job Description

This is a TEMP to PERM position as a Quality Control Inspector.

The Quality Control Inspector position is responsible for ensuring that incoming and outgoing products meet all quality standards and specifications.

Responsibilities include:

  • Inspecting incoming and outgoing products to ensure compliance with customer prints, military specifications, industry standards, and commercial requirements.
  • Reviewing internal purchase and sales orders to ensure specified requirements have been properly addressed and adhered to.
  • Coordinating quality inspections with management and department leads.
  • Contacting suppliers in the event of a rejection to arrange for replacement material and/or to resolve documentation issues.
  • Reviewing material and finish certificates and test reports to ensure compliance with specified requirements.
  • Performing and training staff on inspection techniques and instructions.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

  • Ability to interpret schematics, blueprints, and drawings or willingness to learn.
  • Organized and pays close attention to detail.
  • Ability to read military specifications, industry standards, or commercial specs as required to determine product requirements or willingness to learn.
  • Use of standard inspection equipment (i.e., calipers, micrometers, thread plugs, thread rings, precision pins, etc.).
  • Computer proficient.
  • Able to lift 50 pounds.

Education, Experience, Licenses and Certifications:

  • High School Diploma.
  • Minimum of two years' experience with quality inspection in a distribution environment.
