Our focus is on delivering comprehensive HVAC mechanical services that integrate preventative maintenance and repair, as well as upgrading existing mechanical, electrical, and control systems to optimize efficiency and meet client expectations.
Position Title: Field Electrician - Solar/BMS
Key Responsibilities:
- Installation of devices and field interface panels.
- Set up EMT and Rigid conduit systems.
- Assess the number of cables and wires required for conduit pulls or open cable pulls between devices and interface panels.
- Install and mount high voltage AC/DC power for inverters, including high-voltage disconnects and solar panels, along with both high and low voltage wiring.
- Calculate cable/wire pulls in conduit to ensure compliance with maximum fill requirements.
- Label all cables and wires with wire numbers and maintain accurate as-built documentation.
- Execute cable and wiring pulls.
- Collaborate with Project Managers, Supervisors, and team members to ensure project timelines are met.
- Terminate wiring according to design specifications.
- Maintain a daily record of installation as-built documentation.
- Prepare Daily Reports for the Foreman/Project Manager.
- Assist Commissioning Technicians during commissioning and startup phases.
- Adhere to all EMCOR and client safety protocols and participate in Safety Meetings.
- Willingness to travel out-of-state and stay overnight as required.
- Ensure cleanliness of work areas on a daily basis or as necessary based on occupancy.
Job Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a commercial or industrial setting.
- Electrician Journeyman license is mandatory.
- Proficient in bending, threading, and installing rigid conduit.
- Strong understanding of relevant building codes, regulations, and ordinances.
- Ability to read, interpret, and work from plans, schematics, and drawings effectively.
- Experience in estimating electrical labor, materials, and equipment for projects.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Capability to lift and move objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Valid driver's license in good standing.
- Availability for out-of-state and overnight travel.
