Job Summary

We are seeking an enthusiastic Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse to join our team at Methodist Rehabilitation Hospital in Dallas, Texas. As a Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and rehabilitation services to individuals recovering from various medical conditions.

This is a rewarding opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment where no two days are ever the same. You will have the chance to work with a diverse range of patients, from those recovering from stroke, brain injury, and spinal cord injuries, to those dealing with amputations and orthopedic injuries. Our hospital is equipped with state-of-the-art technology and offers customized rehabilitation programs tailored to meet the unique needs of each patient.

Your Responsibilities

* Perform patient care duties, including administering medications, assessing patient needs, and developing individualized care plans
* Collaborate with our interdisciplinary team to ensure seamless communication and coordination of care
* Provide education and support to patients and their families, empowering them to take an active role in their recovery journey
* Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction

Requirements

* Graduate of accredited licensed practical/vocational nurse program
* Current state licensure as Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse
* CPR/BCLS certification. ACLS preferred
* IV Certified required or obtained within 6 months highly preferred
* Minimum six months' Medical/Surgical experience in an acute care setting preferred
* Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills
