Job Title: Customer Delivery Driver

At Transtar Industries, we are seeking a reliable and skilled Customer Delivery Driver to join our team. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for safely operating a city van to transport materials and merchandise to assigned destinations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspect vehicle before and after delivery routes and report any problems to the warehouse supervisor.
  • Load delivery vehicle to transport materials and deliver and pick up materials as assigned.
  • Make collections as necessary and drive the company delivery pickup truck and/or van.
  • Separate, label, and verify the count of incoming freight deliveries and locate and pull stock for outgoing deliveries.
  • Package finished product for shipping (shrink wrapping, boxing, and labeling) and use the computer system to locate products and stock incoming deliveries.
  • Clean and maintain work area and turn off and lock out equipment when not in use.

Requirements:

  • Valid driver's license and 21 years of age or older.
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and pass a pre-employment drug screen, physical exam, and background check screening.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with co-workers to aid in satisfying customer requirements and perform basic mathematical calculations to accurately complete job tasks.
