Description:

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Construction Equipment Delivery Specialist to join our team at Superior Electrical Mechanical & Plumbing, Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering or retrieving construction equipment and/or materials from job sites while ensuring safe arrival times.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive company trucks or vehicles to deliver or pick-up various sized equipment and materials throughout Southern California.
  • Tow trailers as needed to facilitate delivery of materials.
  • Hook-up, attach or disconnect trailers to vehicles.
  • Tie-down and inspect cargo ensuring department policies are practiced.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles and equipment.
  • Ensure paperwork and email communication is completed accurately and on time.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers, supervisors, and other team members regarding delivery arrival times.
  • Perform general maintenance and warehouse duties during non-drive time.
  • Adaptable to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Operate forklifts to move equipment as needed.
  • Additional duties will be assigned as needed to support the operations of the department.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of two years of construction equipment delivery experience or similar role in a related field.
  • Minimum of two years of tow experience within a commercial environment.
  • Valid and insurable Class C driver's license (insurability is defined as a driver at least 24 years of age and fewer than 2-points on a driver record).
  • Pass a pre-employment drug test.
  • Physical ability to load, unload equipment, and lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted.
  • Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
  • Superior Electrical Mechanical & Plumbing, Inc. is a service and construction company providing customer service throughout California and other states. Travel may be required. Salary: $18 to $22 per hour
