Job Summary

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) will provide direct and individualized nursing care to patients in the Sports Medicine and Orthopedics department. This role will involve observing, reporting, and recording medical information and nursing care provided in the electronic medical record. The LPN will instruct patients and families according to the teaching plans and communicate with the healthcare team to facilitate the coordination of individualized patient care.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct and individualized nursing care to patients in the Sports Medicine and Orthopedics department
  • Observe, report, and record medical information and nursing care provided in the electronic medical record
  • Instruct patients and families according to the teaching plans
  • Communicate with the healthcare team to facilitate the coordination of individualized patient care
Requirements
  • Currently licensed to practice as a licensed practical nurse by the state of employment or holds a multistate LPN license through the interstate Nurse Licensure Compact
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) required prior to completion of orientation
