Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Lead Fabricator to join our team in Buffalo, NY.

About the Role

This is a challenging opportunity for a skilled Fitter/Fabricator with experience in custom fabrication of heavy steel structures. The successful candidate will have strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt fitting processes for optimal results.

Responsibilities
  • Read and interpret intricate steel structure blueprints for custom fabrication projects.
  • Fabricate custom fixtures and use clamping devices to improve fitting efficiency.
  • Operate heavy cranes (50 tons) to move and flip large parts safely.
  • Utilize plasma cutters, oxy-acetylene torches, grinding tools, drilling, and tapping equipment.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in fitting and fabricating large weldments.
  • Ability to work independently and transition smoothly between custom projects.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt fitting processes for optimal results.
