Interventional Radiologist

Position Overview:
Allina Health is in search of a dedicated Full-time Body/Vascular Interventional Radiologist to enhance the practice at Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis.
Role Responsibilities:
- Conduct a comprehensive review of patients' medical histories while gathering, prioritizing, and synthesizing relevant data related to their health or condition.
- Demonstrate proficiency in patient assessments and perform all body/vascular interventional and general diagnostic radiology procedures, including emergency and acute inpatient and outpatient cases. Efficiency in managing high volumes of cases using computer systems and related software is essential, along with effective communication with a diverse range of clinicians and staff.
- Implement quality improvement strategies to enhance patient care delivery, outcomes, and flow. Participation in peer review and quality assurance initiatives may be required.
- Contribute to the development of policies and procedures.
- Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications Required:
- Doctoral/Ph.D. level advanced degree in Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from an accredited institution.
- Completion of an ACGME or AOA accredited residency training program in Radiology.
- Fellowship training in interventional radiology, body, vascular/endovascular, or relevant post-residency training.
- Prior experience in Interventional Radiology is mandatory.
Licenses and Certifications:
- Must possess a valid Physician license from the Minnesota Board of Medical Practice upon hire.
- Board Certified/Board Eligible in Radiology, Neurosurgery, or Neurology is required.
- Must fulfill at least one of the following certification requirements:
- Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
- Current BLS certification from the American Red Cross.
- Completion of Allina in-house BLS training (upon hire).
