Job Summary

Morton Comprehensive Health Services is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Laboratory Manager to lead our laboratory and pathology services. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the technical, clinical, and operational aspects of our laboratory.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor test results, equipment, and laboratory information systems to ensure high-quality and reliable laboratory services.
  • Perform, assist, and support functions within the laboratory as needed to maintain efficient operations.
  • Design and evaluate processes to ensure compliance with regulatory agency requirements and professional practice standards.
  • Provide and oversee training and competency for staff, promoting effective communication and teamwork.
  • Collaborate with medical staff, administrative teams, and community partners to build and maintain strong relationships.
Requirements
  • Minimum four (4) years of experience in phlebotomy and complex laboratory testing.
  • Minimum three (3) years of leadership experience in a clinical laboratory setting.
  • Thorough knowledge of regulatory agency requirements and professional practice standards, including CLIA, TJC, NCQA, AABB, local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the function of a medical laboratory.
  • Highly effective interpersonal skills and ability to build strong relationships with staff, medical staff, and community partners.
  • Working knowledge of clinical computer systems, PC computer skills, and Microsoft Office tools.
  • Bachelor's degree in medical technology, clinical laboratory science, chemical, physical or biological science from an accredited institution. An Associate's degree may be considered with 10+ years of demonstrated experience.
  • MT(ASCP), MLS(ASCP), and/or MT(AMT) certification.
