We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Diagnostic X-Ray Technologist to join our team at North Star Diagnostic Imaging. As a key member of our imaging department, you will be responsible for performing high-quality diagnostic X-ray procedures, focusing on patient care and education.
Key Responsibilities- Perform and assist with high-quality diagnostic X-ray procedures, ensuring accurate and efficient results.
- Provide exceptional patient care and education, establishing personal rapport with patients and other stakeholders.
- Ensure the operation of radiology equipment, completing preventive maintenance requirements and troubleshooting malfunctions.
- Comply with federal, state, and local legal and professional requirements, staying up-to-date on new legislation and regulations.
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and reviewing professional publications.
- Prepare patients for radiological procedures, positioning them correctly and adjusting equipment as needed.
- Minimize radiation exposure to patients and staff, practicing radiation protection techniques and using beam restrictive devices.
- Protect patients and employees by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols.
- Document patient care services, charting in patient and department records.
- Graduate from an X-ray Certified program.
- Texas Medical Board and ARRT registration required.
- Dependent upon experience.
Full-time position, Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm. No on-call or weekend shifts. Benefits include 80 hours of accrued PTO, health insurance, and scrubs provided.
