About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sailing Director to lead our residential sailing camp program. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sailing instruction and program management.

  • Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the summer residential sailing camp program, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for campers.
  • Develop and implement creative programming that meets the mission of Camp Gifford and The Salvation Army.
  • Supervise program and counseling staff, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Ensure the sailing program is well-organized, safe, and educational.
  • Instruct youth sailors of varying skill levels, providing individualized attention and feedback.
Requirements
  • Education
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent (Preferred)
  • Experience
  • 2 years of sailing experience, including teaching and program management
  • Licenses and Certifications
  • CPR/AED certification
  • Water Safety Instructor certification
