Facilities Maintenance Specialist

Job Summary

As a key member of the CEMCO1 team, the successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our facilities. This includes sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors, as well as emptying trash and recycling bins. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail and be able to work independently with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure all areas of the facility are clean and well-maintained, including restrooms, break rooms, and common areas.
  • Operate cleaning equipment, such as vacuum cleaners and floor buffers, to maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Restock supplies and materials as needed to maintain a clean and organized workspace.
  • Perform minor repairs and maintenance tasks, such as unclogging drains and replacing light fixtures.
  • Assist with special events and projects as needed, such as setting up tables and chairs for meetings and banquets.

Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous experience in a maintenance or custodial role preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Working Conditions
The successful candidate will be working in a fast-paced environment with frequent exposure to moving mechanical parts, outside weather conditions, and sharp materials. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud and subject to ambient conditions.
