As a Pharmacy Technician in Training, you will play a vital role in supporting our pharmacy team in providing exceptional patient care and service. Your primary responsibility will be to assist pharmacists and other healthcare professionals in preparing and dispensing medications, as well as maintaining accurate records and inventory.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Enter prescription information, including patient searches, prescriber searches, drug selection, and insurance billing.
  • Accept customer and prescription information for new and refill prescriptions.
  • Retrieve medication from inventory and create prescription labels.
  • Place medication into prescription containers and complete paperwork related to filling prescriptions.
  • Assist in maintaining the pharmacy department by keeping it clean and organized.
  • Participate in inventory management processes, including order review, inventory returns, and restocking shelves.
  • Administer Rite Aid programs and services.
