Job Description

Echodyne Corp is seeking a highly skilled Software Test Lead to join our team. As a key member of our software development team, you will be responsible for leading software project testing activities, working closely with product development teams to establish test criteria, and improving test automation capabilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Organize and lead software project testing activities
  • Work closely with product development teams to establish test criteria and champion design-for-test thinking
  • Develop test plans, test cases, and run tests
  • Drive and support testing efforts across teams and projects
  • Mentor and coach team members, including test engineers, technicians, and interns

Requirements:

  • 3 or more years of experience as a Test Lead, Lead SDET, or related role
  • 6 or more years of hands-on experience designing and running integration and system test scenarios for embedded applications
  • Practical understanding of testing principles, methods, and techniques
  • Experience using test automation frameworks
  • A tester's knowledge of C/C++, Python, and embedded Linux
  • Experience using and integrating test equipment into test environments
  • Familiarity with standard communication protocols
  • Practical understanding of software development practices
  • A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, or related field, or equivalent practical experience

Desired Skills:

  • Proficient using Linux as a test platform
  • Advanced knowledge of C/C++, Python, and embedded Linux
  • Understanding of sampling theory, digital filtering, and ADC signal digitization
  • Familiarity with MATLAB or equivalent

Technologies and Tools:

  • Linux, Windows, Git/Bitbucket, Jira, Confluence, Jenkins, Docker, PyPi
  • GCC, CMake, Python, pytest, pip, virtualenv, Visual Studio Code
