The Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking a skilled Nursing Assistant to join our team. As a Nursing Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the overall success of our healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide a range of patient care services, including assisting with daily living activities and contributing to the completion of the nurse care plan.
  • Observe patients' physical or emotional status and refer deviations and/or problems to the supervisor in a timely manner.
  • Properly use equipment, materials, and supplies in simple diagnostic and treatment procedures.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Assist in the full range of nursing care to patients with physical and/or behavioral problems in a hospital, long-term care, or outpatient setting.
Requirements
  • United States citizenship.
  • One year above high school with courses related to the Nursing Assistant occupation.
  • English language proficiency.
  • Ability to provide a range of patient care services and contribute to the completion of the nurse care plan.
  • Ability to observe patients' physical or emotional status and refer deviations and/or problems to the supervisor in a timely manner.
  • Ability to properly use equipment, materials, and supplies in simple diagnostic and treatment procedures.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
