Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our team as a Manager in Training. As a key member of our store leadership team, you will be responsible for assisting the Store Manager in controlling the assets of Hibbett I City Gear, consulting with the Store Manager in establishing action plans to accomplish departmental and overall store responsibilities, and assuming responsibility of the entire store in the absence of the Store Manager.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Store Manager: Assist the Store Manager in controlling the assets of Hibbett I City Gear, including inventory management, sales statistics, and expenses.
  • Establish Action Plans: Consult with the Store Manager in establishing action plans to accomplish departmental and overall store responsibilities, such as selling, restocking, merchandising, ordering, and scheduling.
  • Serve as Store Leader: Assume responsibility of the entire store in the absence of the Store Manager, ensuring that all departments' responsibilities and standards are completed.
  • Provide Knowledge and Guidance: Provide knowledge and guidance to employees and customers in all departments when necessary, promoting a positive and supportive work environment.
  • Maintain Quality Customer Service: Assure quality customer service is maintained, providing extraordinary customer service highlighted in the customer service manual, including helping customers as they enter the store, and helping multiple customers during peak periods.
  • Promote and Sell Services: Promote and sell services and merchandise provided by Hibbett I City Gear, upholding all policies, procedures, and standards as listed in the operations policy manual, personnel policy manual, visual manual, customer service manual, and memos with the company's direction.
  • Protect Company Assets: Protect the company's assets and financial information by ensuring the accuracy and effectiveness of internal control procedures, informing management and/or appropriate officials of potential fraud risk.
