KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Delivering technical assistance to mass production, maintenance, and new model initiatives by:

  • Implementing process controls to ensure consistent quality and productivity.
  • Developing process designs and conducting FMEA analyses.
  • Integrating new technologies and keeping abreast of the latest advancements.
  • Collaborating on process enhancements to optimize cycle times, reduce costs, and minimize reject rates.
  • Supporting cross-functional efforts related to new model timelines and development strategies to meet customer expectations.
  • Facilitating new model development and advanced technology systems, enhancing the speed and efficiency of these processes for successful and profitable launches.
  • Creating and maintaining ISO documentation to ensure compliance with ISO standards.
  • Assisting in the procurement, installation, and improvement of new equipment and tooling to boost in-house production capabilities.
  • Contributing to budget planning and monitoring expenses to maintain departmental budget adherence.
  • Proposing cost-saving measures and profitability strategies.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Office setting for 4 hours daily.
  • Manufacturing setting for 4 hours daily.
  • Occasional travel may be necessary for essential functions or training.
  • Overtime may be required as needed.
  • Frequent bending, stooping, squatting, pushing, and pulling of equipment may be necessary.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting or standing may be required.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds is necessary.

POTENTIAL HAZARDS:

  • The role may involve exposure to moving or mechanical components.
  • Moderate noise levels may necessitate the use of hearing protection in specific areas.
Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, preferably in Plastic or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Proficiency in injection molding processes.
  • Experience with robotics is preferred.
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Excellent project management capabilities.
  • Familiarity with 2D CAD-3D is an advantage.
