Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate culinary operations, including scheduling, time management, performance evaluations, hiring, and discipline.
  • Collaborate with the Culinary Manager to ensure that all culinary production leads and staff adhere to all recipes, SOPs, policies, safety standards, and GMPs.
  • Support the team with company growth and scale while maintaining quality, consistency, and accuracy of all produced products for delivery to our customers.
  • Continuously guide and coach team members with proper food handling, production, storage, service, and execution.
  • Identify training needs and areas for employee development and professional growth.
  • Work cross-functionally with Production, R&D, Quality Assurance, and Facilities teams to ensure proper receiving, handoffs, and production standards.
  • Maintain accurate inventory of raw materials and processed food products.
  • Maintain reporting and documentation; update upper management regarding culinary operations.
  • Attend weekly safety meetings; maintain records of policy changes and rollouts.
  • Ensure OSHA compliance standards are adhered to at all times by staff.
  • Assist with weekly internal QA Audits in collaboration with the Quality Assurance team.
  • Ensure that all COVID protocols are followed at all times.
Requirements
  • High school diploma required; degree preferred.
  • Culinary Certificate highly preferred.
  • 2+ years as a Sous Chef or Kitchen Assistant Manager in a catering, food manufacturing, or high-volume food production environment required.
  • Working knowledge of HACCP, GMPs, quality standards, OSHA regulations, and safe food handling procedures.
  • Strong understanding and execution of First-In, First-Out, and product rotation.
  • Strong decision-making skills and a results-driven approach.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to function well in a high-paced and, at times, stressful environment.
  • Desire to grow and develop leadership skills.
  • Ability to form effective working relationships with a cross-functional team.
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 25 pounds and stoop, kneel, bend, and reach.
  • Tech savvy approach to your work; proficiency with a variety of tech platforms including, but not limited to, G-Suite and Slack.
What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary and benefits package, with an expected annual salary range of $68,000 to $77,000. A variety of factors are considered when determining an individual's compensation, including a candidate's professional background, education, certifications, experience, professional licenses, and location. Final offer amounts may vary from the amounts listed.
