The Duncanville ISD is seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Special Education Aide to join our team. As a Special Education Aide, you will play a vital role in supporting students with special needs in a dynamic and inclusive learning environment.

Responsibilities
  • Assist students with special needs in academic and functional skills development
  • Provide individualized support to students with special needs in a one-on-one or small group setting
  • Implement behavioral interventions and strategies to support students with special needs
  • Collaborate with special education teachers and other support staff to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff to ensure a smooth and supportive learning environment
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in special education or a related field preferred
  • Experience working with students with special needs in a school setting
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
