POSITION SUMMARY
At Rice Lake Weighing Systems, the Surface Preparation Technician is responsible for operating phosphatizing machinery (power washer/spray wand) to prepare components for the painting process.

Key Responsibilities Include:
- Utilizing power hand tools such as hand grinders, dual action (DA) sanders, and wire wheels to ensure all components are adequately prepped for optimal paint adhesion.
- Working safely with phosphatizing chemicals.

Incentive Program:
*This role may qualify for a performance-based incentive of $100 per week, contingent on hours worked. Inquire for more details.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Operate phosphatizing equipment across a variety of products, ensuring proper setup and maintenance.
- Maintain a clean, organized workspace while executing paint preparation tasks.
- Keep precise records of time and quantities related to tasks performed.
- Operate powered industrial trucks (forklifts) and overhead cranes as required.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Skills:
- Proficient reading skills.
- Competent in using powered hand tools.
- Blueprint reading skills are preferred.
- Ability to operate powered industrial lifts (forklifts) and overhead cranes (on-the-job training provided).
