Role Overview:

The selected candidate will evaluate the planning, programming, budgeting, and execution of IT initiatives within the Department of Air Force (DAF), ensuring alignment with the overarching governance of the IT portfolio in support of the Commanders Programming Guidance (CPG). This role necessitates strategic insight and analytical proficiency, alongside a solid understanding of the current DoD Strategy, Programming, Planning, Budgeting, and Execution (SPPBE) framework, as well as IT-specific resource management methodologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and pinpoint financial and budgetary integration points between SPPBE and Enterprise Information Technology (EIT) to ensure synchronization across the DAF.
  • Assess the execution of IT resources (IT Spend) against programmed and budgeted expectations, documenting discrepancies and identifying critical areas for further investigation.
  • Examine existing IT spending processes within SAF/CN and propose enhancements across DAF entities, including the development of a comprehensive SPPBE Playbook to standardize IT spending procedures and definitions within SAF/CN.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint to create professional documentation of processes, recommendations, and analytical findings for stakeholders.


Qualifications:

  • Capability to obtain and maintain a SECRET federal security clearance.
  • A minimum of FOUR (4) years of relevant experience.
  • Familiarity with government accounting practices.
  • Understanding of Data Analytics capabilities.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • An ACTIVE and CURRENT SECRET security clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities.
  • Experience with the PPBE process.
  • Familiarity with PBES, CRIS, and/or DEAMS.
  • In-depth knowledge of DoD budget execution and accounting.
